The Brooks / Acorn 180 can be controlled by either the simple mechanical 'paddle' at the end of the seat arm, or by way of the radio frequency remote control handset, two of which are supplied. The remotes are ideal when there are 2 users in the house and the lift needs to be 'sent' or 'called' up and down the stairs. The wireless design means that there is no unsightly wall-mounted wiring or control stations.
When not in use, the Acorn / Brooks 180 can be folded away; its slim profile and unique inside parking ability ensures that the staircase is not obstructed, allowing other members of the household to use the stairs as normal.
All Acorn & Brooks stairlifts are fitted with pressure sensitive safety edges as standard. Should the stairlift encounter an obstruction while travelling it will automatically stop.
The Acorn & Brooks stairlifta are battery powered and will charge themselves automatically at both the top and bottom if the staircase.
Acorn & Brooks stairlifts are fitted with a manual swivel seat as standard operated by a simple paddle lever. A powered swivel seat is also available as an optional extra.
This allows you to see the exact status of your Acorn or Brooks stair lift at all times.
All Acorn & Brooks stairlifts come with two handy infa-red remote controls. Particularly useful when there are two users of the stairlift.
